At present there aren't any highly disease resistant seedless, so if you want a grape that won't need disease control, expect seeds. The seedless with relatively good resistance for a seedless grape is Mars, but it still needs as much disease control as Concord.
You might consider some of the varieties of T.V. Munson, such as America, Carman, Bailey, Champanel, and a number of others. To read about Munson's work try "Foundations of American Grape Culture". It can be read online at:

No, actually I chose it from Burnt Ridge just going by the description and wanting a dark grape for fresh eating. They didn't warn me but I guess they assume I knew what I was doing. So how would a person know if any variety was suited for SE USA? (not the deep south like the gulf coast). What should I look for if this one does poorly?
Thanks, Ron

No denying that Black Monukka makes good raisins. It just isn't suited for the eastern U.S. Heck, I have the variety myself and even here in Oregon it's chancy because it will crack and spoil if there's rain at ripening time.

If you manage a successful crop in spite of what Lon says about it, I've tasted Monukka raisins and they're better than raisins made from Thompson Seedless, in my opinion.
