Folks - speaking of dehydrated apples, has anyone got a favorite recipe/use

When I was in a rush, I used dehydrated apples (instead of fresh) to make Apple Betty. These were Trader Joe's and I believe they were dried Gravensteins. They were very tangy (yum!). They made a TERRIFIC Betty. Gosh, it was so delicious. I just tossed in a bit of water and lemon juice so they could suck up some moisture and "reconstitute" while baking.
