Glenndale is like several other gooseberries, it needs to be used slightly
under-ripe. I think it will grow well further South than any other gooseberry.
And Sam is right, it grows like gangbusters, I have several that are more than
seven feet tall. They are very resistant to most gooseberry disease also.
