Be absolutely sure it IS Concord. A lot of times in the Midwest, anything with a labrusca flavor is sold as Concord. Beta is one that gets confused at times. Norton would probably be close to Catawba season there, though.

Concord does fine here; many people grow things a lot less hardy than Concord. The wild swings in winter temperatures lately have taken quite a toll on some of the more tender varieties, but last year at least there was very little damage on Concords.
How much later than Concord does it ripen? Is it later than Catawba?
