Norton seems to be succeeding to some degree about as far as southern Iowa. It ripens later than Concord, and hardiness is probably no more than Concord at best. Norton is a wine grape, anyway, while the Slow Food group was looking more for table grapes.

Certainly true. Nevertheless, I'm curious. Any idea whether the Norton grape they named will do well further north? I searched on it rapidly and got references mostly down around Virginia and Missouri.
