Bruce, I know it is hard to patient with the process here, but we still have
to
bring these issues formally to the board and the rest of NAFEX. It may take
another year before the involvement we have all been formulating comes to
pass.
We all have families, jobs, other distractions like getting the harvest in
before
freeze up etc. I think we will all see the fruit of these fertile discussions
but
not with two weeks. As a nursery type person, folks are only now formulating
their plantings next year and past Christmas you will start getting requests.
Also, please put your auction idea into Pomona and that will bring a lot more
responses. We have to follow the slow sometimes laborious and tedious process
of
incorporating as many ideas as possible, and recruiting a broad base of
support.
I lot of people I know barely read their list-serve weekly, and then only
skimming for important stuff. It is time for us all to start working on our
letters, and helping others to round out theirs. Badgering folks is only
going to
push them away. I know, I have done it. This time we need inclusion, patience,
and to be in it for the long haul. I really appreciate your desire for change,
and your forcefulness can push us out of ruts, but we risk the consequences of
sabotaging efforts by blasting folks with too strong a message.
Truly with respect,
Heron
