Title: Re: [NAFEX] Silvery Fir Tree - Tomato
I won't say it doesn't grow here, just that the tomatoes can be on the sharp side for my taste, and the variety didn't bear as heavily as a number of others tried at the same time.

Interesting, at www.seedsofchange.com (another source for the seeds), this is
what they say about the tomato, which looks like it would be perfect for
Oregon...just goes to show experience is always better than what they say in
the catalog:

Silvery Fir Tree Red Slicing Tomato
Lycopersicon esculentum
Rare - Heirloom
4-6 oz. Tender Annual

This 2 foot dwarf, early fruiter from Russia makes a productive container
plant and unlike most tomatoes grows well in overcst coastal areas.
Determinate.

Days to Germ.: 7-14
Plant Spacing: 18"-24"

Moderate Water

~ 50 seeds
