Gord,
Another apple that has been excellent for me is Akane. Although it is not
noted as scab immune, it is entirely free of scab at my place where there
is a lot of scab. No other health problem either, and a good regular
productivity. The taste is excellent, with a lot of zip. Size is maybe a
bit small. Good hardiness in zone 4. Season is with Lobo. Could be worth a
try.
