How wide is the bender, the distance between the two legs that will stick in the ground?

I received some unexpected money for being a program speaker and I went ahead and bought one from http://www.lostcreek.net/rowcoverbenders3999.html This is the same ones Johnny's sells for half the price and no shipping. I just got it last Friday. I am really wanting to try it out.  Just an idea.

I figured $40 was worth my time to build one.

Anyone built their own jig to bend the 10 foot EMT to 6 foot hoop?  We just did one for half a 6 foot circle, but the conduit jumps back out much larger when we release it.  Anyone know the proper size for the jig?  Thank you.
