Jay, how about replanting one of these heat lovers? basil (60 days to harvest), okra (60 days), malabar spinach (30-40 days), melons (70-100), edamame (soybean as a green vegetable) (75 -100), southern peas (60-80), leaf amaranth (30 days), etc. Tomatoes?

I know I have been asking a few questions over the last few days, but my plans for this year have been rewritten a million times due to illness, weather, slow maturity and etc!

My cucumbers in my movable tunnels are a bust this year. They were brutally attacked by cucumber beetles and they brought along the dreaded wilt. I am slowing loosing all my little pickling cucumbers. Almost seems like a plant a day or so. The ones I do pick have been selling out at every market. Like an idiot, I didn't plant an outside crop. Last year these cucs produced from May until September. In September, they weren't selling very good and I quit picking them.

My question is this. What do I do with this space in the 16 by 32 high tunnel. My original plans were to pick them until September and prep the outside space and then move my tunnel in early October. The cucumbers will probably be all gone by July 1. That gives me about 4 months of growing time before I move my building to cover the outside spot for winter harvest of carrots and haikuri turnips. What would you plant here? Does it make any sense to clean out the space and transplant more cucs back into this space? I am open to almost any ideas, as long as I can sell the produce.

Thanks,

Jay
