For 150 shares I do about 1000 txp's of Corn over three succesions (3000 total). It takes 2-3 people about 2-3 hours each planting,  by hand.  I am not yet big enough to justify a mechanical transplanter, methinks.

Peas, I direct seed and also wonder how other justify the large amount of txps?

How are those of you who are doing this handling the transplanting? We
plant peas so thickly that I don't see how, using our transplanting
techniques for, say, tomatoes or squash, we could possibly set enough
pea plants in a reasonable length of time (we plant over a thousand
row feet of peas, and we transplant everything by hand).
