. We use most
of it for chicken bedding, but some mixed with compost, etc for plants.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Shortage of wood by-products for livestock bedding is becoming more and more of a problem, even here where most of Maines farmland has gone back to trees.
I have been doing some research as to the use of peat for bedding and come up with some stuff from Europe and Canada, but zero from the U.S.
I would like to hear of any experience or information you might have as to th uses of peat.
