I also grow from Jersey Knight and Jersey Giant. I have few to no pest
problems, and the initial planting done 8 years ago is fantastic. I plan
on adding more of these types, as well as some purple for variety.
I also started a seed bed for increasing the plantings, as there were a
few females in the mix. I simply weed out the girls in the nursery bed
at year two, and transplant the males into the permanant area of that
field. Success on a budget. I will also order another few hundred
crowns.
I look forward to hearing what other types are popular here.
