Bill, thanks for posting the photo link. I really enjoyed the tour. I wish more people would post photos. I think it puts more reality into our forum. And who we are. Course I could do that. Bill

I cut strips of cattle panels with 2 or 3 horizontal stays each and hang them from 3 T-posts, then drop twine to the plants and help them climb. That way I get 4-5 trellises from each panel. Thanks to a question last year, I think from Allen, I tried pinching the vines every 18" or so to stimulate more side shoots, and that seemed to work pretty well. I've got to keep setting out cukes tho, as we still haven't figured out how to get long-term production other than in a high tunnel. Some pics here, sorry about the lack of organization--the albums look about like my garden usually does:

I have used Livestock panels for several years with good result ONLY IF you almost daily help the vines climb, once started they seem to follow each other, it just comes natural now when I'm in the garden to stuff vines in as I walk by. I like fellenz using ag-clips, I might try that this year, I tend to break several off during the season and would think the ag-clips might help with that. I grow Armenian.
