Allan,
Here in my area of Kentucky, everyone says the last two years have
been fairly funky for our tomatoes......and we attributed it to weather
extremes ( which we may be likely to see as a way of life for awhile!).
Gee, i'd hate to think it was something we are doing or not doing!! On
the other hand, their cousins - the peppers have been doing well 'roun
here.
