Last year I purchased the Seed Stick Planter from Johnny's and was VERY disappointed. The Stick Seed Planter has a seed hopper and requires that you push down lightly on the stick while it's in the ground to release the seed from the hopper. However, I found this process ended up breaking most of the seeds I experimented with - no good! However, this "Stand N Plant" has a squeeze to release mechanism that looks like it would solve the seed breaking problem. Looks promising to me.

A day or two ago I found in my mail this rather intriguing advertisement
from Saltsburg, PA for a stand up bulb or large seed planting tool made
from--one inch PVC pipe. Hmm! Looks like it might work for some things.
Garlic? Has anyone used this thing? It's not that expensive, around $40
and with shipping tacked on a little under $50. With all of the scrap one
inch PVC pipe lying around my place I see another rainy day shop project
coming up. They provided a website in the ad www.standnplant.com but it
didn't work for me. I was more successful googling "Stand 'N Plant" and I
got some pictures like the ones in the ad.
