When replacing plastic try putting the new on before slipping the old
out. That way the plastic will slide on without getting snagged.
We lay the plastic out next to the house then take the corners furthest
from the house and pull them over the plastic on the ground before
throwing the ropes over then pulling from the other side.. This is also
to prevent snagging on the ground.
We use 'wiggle wire channel lock'. We tack down the corners once the
poly is over then stretch the poly starting in the middle of the house
working towards the ends. This is not so important with double layer
inflated but crucial with single layer. We try to only put on poly when
it is over 50 deg.F.; otherwise we have noticed that the seams [folds]
split in year two rather than year three or four.
