Allen. Many growers with single layer houses cut 4" wide strips of poly as
straps. you toss them over the house and secure them on the baseboard every
10 ft
down the length of the house. I have used this method in the past and it works
great. We have found that bending the hoops with a greater peak point or a
gothic
arch rather than a round top holds single layer film extremely well. Also
eliminateing the top purlin allows film to sink in-between the frames better
giving great wind resistance. Bows spaced no more than 4' generally hold film
tighter than the 6 or 8' some folks use never skimp on bow spacing . ..Bob.
