I appreciate everyone's advice so much on this subject and echo yesterday's
comments about the wealth of information on this list. Thanks all!

The poly should arrive here Tuesday, but we've got snow coming today and
Tuesday also, so not sure when we'll get this done. The frame I'm rebuilding
isn't ready yet either as I had someone coming today to adjust the top
frame. This is a frame that was put up 5 years ago and the poly wasn't
finished fastening securely when we had a huge wind the next day.

You're right Allan, it is VERY unnerving to the farmer. I've talked to
others in the area and they all suggested the inflated double layer to help
with the flapping. I watched it flap a little and looks like once the wind
starts flapping a little it just kept pulling. Do you have any of the woven
tape over the poly? I've seen some called batten tape and others called
batten tape are meant to be stapled/fastened through. If yours has been up a
while it's probably okay and it'd be tough to run a fan without power -
sounds like you need a windmill :-)

Thanks all!
Marcy
