Pat and other Perilla growers,

I had the opposite problem, red sprouted but VERY few green. I also have a nice little patch of red that self-seeded and is coming up in my garden. Absolutely no green perilla self-seeded (even though there was more of this planted last year). Where did you get your seed? I got mine from Johnny's and intend to ask them about why the green did not sprout.

I couldn't get the red-leaved perilla seeds to germinate
although I tried several times.
