I'm asking for scientific evidence not a popularity contest stuff or spin
control.

Immediately after the Stoessel-Avery thingie on television there were
definite SELF-REPORTS by farmers and organic farmers using poorly composted
manure ON THIS LIST as well as other forums. Some of the self reports
indicated manure slurries of raw manure were so much easier to spread than
post properly processed poop.

It doesn't matter that he left out conventional farmers. It doesn't matter
what I or you would do. It doesn't matter what USDA standards are. It
doesn't matter that Avery is a favorite dart board background for organic
farmers. Spin control and denigration are Weasel techniques.

According to the predominant thinking I've heard on this list - including
you - if the potential for evil exists then it will happen since everyone in
business is a crook and out to poison the public for profit. You went on one
of your tirades about the poultry industry concerning that and they are
well covered by USDA regulations as well as FDA for drugs.

So why are organic farmers so perfect they won't bend over for the same
reason? Why are the inspectors for the organic growers so pure and lily
white compared to the evil corrupt meat inspectors and crooked judges that
protect the meat industry and poison us?

The "people from other tribes suck" paradigm put forth by some on this list
is irrelevant

After Avery spoke the FACT, the SMOKING GUN remains, multiple farmers - some
that claimed to be organic - self-admitted they were doing poor, short cycle
or no composting and some of them indicated they WOULD NOT CHANGE their
beliefs.

So how is Avery incorrect? Maybe unfair for not including conventional
farmers but that does not make the e-coli infection go away.

The personal attacks and other weasel stuff will not change the scientific
facts that stung the organic industry.
