Phil and Others,

I have believed for a long time that we would see a shift in the media and the likes of Avery as the food industry became more involved in organic food production.  The health claims would be at the top of their list.

It is analogous to the beef industry now attempting to secure a grass-fed label for meats that only require an 80% diet of forage.  A common feedlot steer would qualify.  They would then recognize and promote the health benefits of grass-fed in their marketing.

I'm thinking that he will down the road change his tune now that all the big boys are getting in the organic growing practices.  Interesting article in the Progressive Farmer mag this month about all the big boys that have changed there operations and investing in a really big way, were talking the really large farmers.  Mission Organics has 6000 acres of lettuce and other greens in California, another big company Small Planet Foods is a subsidiary of General Mills, and there have been several Marketing Coops started up in the last year in California and Colorado.

People like Avery only go's to whoever is paying him for him mouth.

Phil
