Get sheep, they love it. Might take a year, or a season anyway, so you would have to plan...maybe let them finish up your garden in the fall, then eat it down again in the spring. They will also rid you of all your poison ivy if they can get to it.

...But who can spend all their time on a fallow field of bindweed, If someone has a solution they should be canonized.
