fact the world will be out of oil in 40 years max oil peaks 2012 [oil industry qoute-could be wrong same as melting of the poles,At present usage rates the high grade ore bodies currently being mined would last around 80 years. If nuclear power went from providing 16% of the world's elecricity to 80%, it would last 16 years nuclear physicist-these are scientific estimates they could be under or over estimates i'd back underestimate, we are about to go through hell in our life times with mass death in the billions

I agree for the most part that the hippies of the early 70's that went back to the land failed and went back to working the middle class jobs and life style's they so abhored.  I don't think we are in a crisis right now and about to run out of fuel.  I don't think global warming is bad, global freezing is.  Not saying that we won't have to adjust, but not as big an adjustment as global freezing.  Warming opens more land to farming, freezing squeezes the population to towards the equator.  Fuel will run out however in a few hundred years so we do need to go to alternatives to get away from petro as fuel.  I like the idea of organic and CSA's.  I believe we need to think sustainable.

Kindest Regards,
