There is a Google translator.  I speak Spanish but "chivo" is not in my dictionary.  I think he was meaning Cabro, cabrito or goat. I assume that is a local term.  "Eating goat"?

This generated a thought, somewhat off subject.  Despite having lived in Central Texas my whole life, my command of Spanish is pitiful.  Wondering about the meaning of "Comiendo chivo", I tried Google, with no help.  Why isn't there a "Google Translator", where you could enter any language and have it translated to a language of your choice?

Grass Fed Lamb

I believe that when you refer to 'Navajo breeds,' it
is Spanish sheep you mean.  There were no sheep nor
goats in the great Mexican forest before it was
converted to desert as unfenced forage.

Manure and urine are traditional soil builders.

Comiendo chivo,
Zachary
