In north carolina you can just declare yourself independent.

Heh, I'm about to change my affiliation *to* Republican. But that's only so I can vote for Ron Paul in the Republican primaries
if he officially enters the race. :-)

After that, I'll go back to being a Libertarian, if we've regained ballot access by then... Otherwise, well, Unaffiliated it is.
