In case you missed it, Jon Stewart was on CNN's Crossfire last night. It wasn't what you'd expect: Bagala & Carlson listing partisan talking points and Stewart making jokes. Stewart came out swinging - not with partisan talking points of his own - but at Bagala & Carlson themselves, charging them as "partisan hacks" who've missed an important opportunity to contribute to public political discourse by instead presiding over the equivalent of political WWF.
I'm not sure there were any answers there, but if nothing else, it was one of those very, very rare instances where you get the sense that you're in danger of actually seeing something real on your TV set.
