I think you're absolutely right

One of the most annoying things to me is when some uber-religious zealot or just someone who doesn't curse or use 4 letter words says other words in their palace like "G.D." for "God dammit" or something like that. They're obviously thinking it, but just not saying it, and to me, thats just the same.

Personally, I could really care less...

Maybe you could care less, but how does the person speaking know that *you* aren't an uber-religious zealot who will be so offended by your use of swearwords that they can't listen to your content?

I used to swear all the time (even from childhood), and was rebuked for it by a coworker. (He would call me "potty-mouth"). I could see his point, and realized that it is inappropriate to use possibly offensive language in a work environment. I have since had to work very hard to clean up my language, which makes me wish my parents had done a better job at policing it in the first place.

Now, I still swear, but at least I'm not inadvertently offending people as often as I used to...
