My mileage apparently varied.

When we got to NC here in May I'd planned on moving my satellite service with us.

I'd not planned on these giant things called trees being in the way.

So we ended up getting cable installed. We were able to watch something besides the same two episodes of sesame street that were on the TiVo before we moved. no offense, but if I saw Scotty McKilt loose his bagpipes and telly & little bear think it was a super hero flying machine one more time I was gonna shoot someone.

Anyway. We attempted to record things. Attempt being the operative word. First off the searching and finding of episodes gave a new meaning to the word 'difficult' and then the fact that it recorded *every* instance of the show or *no* instance of the show.

After about a week with it, my wife said it had to go. After using a TiVo since August 2000 she thought that was the worst designed thing ever. Considering how much she rolled her eyes at the first one I purchased I considered this quite the coup. Computers do email only as far as she is concerned. Plus you couldn't hide channels (that I could find, maybe the were in there) and I have a violent opposition to the home shopping networks and didn't want to see them on my TV.

So I'm back on my TiVo and a TWC Box. It's not my favorite way of doing things, but I'm getting used to the slowness in changing channels, etc, that wasn't present before.
