I was listening to the local NPR station as I was driving by a Barnes
and Noble last week when they mentioned that David Sedaris has a new
book out, _Me Talk Pretty One Day_. I picked it up there and then and
read it cover to cover while flying from Denver to Raleigh over the
weekend. It's more or less auto-biographical, good quick read though
I'd heard many of the pieces listening to David on my favorite NPR show
_This American Life_.
And sometime last year Terri Gross was interviewing James Gleick on
Fresh Air (yes, I'm a radio junkie) after he had just published his new
book _Faster: The Accleeration of Just About Everything_. I pulled it
off the shelf a few days ago, mistakenly at about 1am...I did get some
sleep that night but not much, pretty good start to the book.
