Well, the beach book is Playing God, by Sarah Zettel (not that great,
really, but "fluffy" enough sci-fi to be sun and surf compatible, as I
found out through extensive testing today :)

The non-beach book is Infinite Jest, by David Foster Wallace -- waaaaaaay
to heavy to take to beach!

My brain seems to have a circuit-breaker-like mechanism that, when I get
confused and befuddled by the overwheming monstrosities of my life, causes
a default to the simplest and most pleasant of thoughts. Like Marshmallow
Peeps. I *like* Marshmallow Peeps.
