Unlikely. Herself goes ballistic over the sight of thistle near the
pastures. When I had a lot more bees, I was always reluctant since that's a
primo
nectar plant. Not so reluctant any more.
I've pulled up burdocks in the morning on a dry, sunny day that eventually
gets into the 90's. The bare roots will turn down into the ground and within
a
few days pull the plant back upright. Spooky, that.
We keep burdock root as an anti-infective as you describe. Some of it dried
and some made into a tincture (in 'shine). Ghastly bitter but effective.
