Here's a stove that looks interesting, although it doesn't exactly fit your description of narrow....but have a gander at the one called "Baker's Oven", down near the bottom of the page at http://www.antiquestoves.com/general%20store/generalstore.index.htm
Cooking height on that one is 32.48" and has firebrick lining; I don't see a price, but likely not cheap.
