Well, it turns out that 15 ccs of banamine im is enough to quiet a ewe to the point where I can hit a vein without a second pair of hands. Of course, this makes her both inedible and uncompostable, but also out of pain.
Lynn, under normal circs, I would have given her some time too, to see if it would knit, or get better, but she was obviously in pain, it was obviously broken, and she was destined to be culled, anyway.
I used my car to drag her out of the barn, she weighs every bit as much as I do and I couldn't get her out any other way. She's under an over turned wheel barrow right now. I'll have to figure out what to do with her tomorrow.
Sometimes life just sucks. I really want to talk to Roy but why wake him up with such sucky news? Thanks for commiserating and letting me bitch.
