:>) That post however serious, made me smile! I cannot picture you as
an 18 yo, pot smoking, metal head. But, don't worry. I'm not going to
do anything based on what anybody on or off the internet says.

Problem with a professional, is that they are going to tell me to keep
my money in a 401k if tomorrow was the end of the world. I can't
necessarily think that any financial professional is going to tell me
anything other than the status quo.

I am interested in what people's thoughts are.

I for one am going to take some cash out of the bank tomorrow morning.
I don't have a lot, but enough to get by on in case of a disaster. I
think that others here might want to do the same. I used to do this
all the time before a hurricane when I was in Florida. Just think that
having some cash stashed would be a good idea.

Now for the 401k, I know that I'd take a hit, but I've been wondering
if I can't put that money to better use somewhere else. I guess my
question, homesteaders, is do you think that people's 401k monies are
at rick right now? I'm not talking short term losses.
