When I first read this Joe'Porter stuff I thought this is party politics stuff. I think Lisa was correct when she politely accused jmroll of being a troll on this list and I have no doubt about what party he-she-it supports.
<shrug>
Am I better off today than when the Republicans took control in January 2001? Nope, things are worse

The Republicans controlled both houses AND the Whitehouse for how many years? The President would ask and the Legislature would approve, I remember thinking "rubber stamp" at the time.

Will it be any better if the Democrats take over full control? I doubt it, the money just goes to a different pocket but maybe the secret police action will be less (maybe not too).

From the FWIW department-
I took a look at the McCain/Day connection, they were in the same NV cell and the Wikipeda article ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bud_Day and Wikipedia as a source?... it's free) said McCain helped save Day's arm. I found another republican piece ( http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1235321/posts ) by Day against Kerry.
That Mr Day has done some brave things and gone thru hard times is not in doubt, the CMH is not given lightly but he is still nothing but a character reference in this contest to see who gets to pocket the profits from the US tax payers.
More Party Politics.

Party politics... I also noticed that in the "Joe'Porter View' they again manage to mention Obama and Muslim in the same sentence. More party politics.

The real questions is : Where has all the money borrowed since 2001 gone? Follow the money...
Just saying "the war" doesn't do it, those trillions went into someone's pocket. That's what that election was worth AND what this upcoming election is worth.

later
