Here's a wacky idea for you. Perhaps next year plant more than you need of
what you have already successfully grown. Consider adding beets, spinach,
garlic and onion, or putting in a small patch of rhubarb and asparagus to
add to the mix (without much effort required once planted). Find a partner
to trade with for summer vegetables. You grow spring veggies and they do the
summer ones.
I personally think you'd have the better end of the deal. When you're done
you could your gardens with leaves and grass clippings (from a neighbor?) or
a bit of cover crop and be done with it while your veggie partner fights
weeds and bugs all summer.
