My wife stops by Trader Joes two or three times a month for produce, frozen
seafood deals and weird sh*t for herself. But what we ( in the city) really
need is a real farmer's market.
I mean with fairly fresh, good tasting produce. The stuff in the stores
claims freshness, but has no taste. And the weekend farmers markets are
jokes. They pull the vegetables out of the same produce boxes you see in the
stores. There are no real farmers. I grow what I can, but you can't grow
mcuh other than salad stuff and even then, nothing survives the summers here
& in the fall the whiteflies destroy much of your crop. Someone with a good
produce market ncould do very well in the city......bobford
