I agree completely, Powell would be a much better choice no matter which
party he ran for, but I am afraid he is either too smart or principled to tow
the party line for either one. I think she put her foot in her mouth with
this statement.

O.K., so she didn't actually say "I have not been proud of my country," but
it is very clear by saying "for the FIRST TIME" that she hasn't been proud
of the U.S. before.

AND, since her pride is based on race, perhaps she would be better served to
have been proud a few years ago when the whole country was all for running
Colin Powell. *He* choose not to run and was asked again to run in this
election by both Dems and Republicans! A much better "person" all around
than her husband!
