Today, for the first time since October, I went grocery shopping.

That might be one of my ideas of heaven. Truly. I don't need much. I detest
grocery shopping with a capital D; with a household full of an 11.5 y.o.
boy, an almost 17 y.o. mannish boy, and our 19.5 y.o. male foster client,
not to mention hubby and me, I find myself grocery shopping OFTEN.

Anyway, it's good to have something to eat besides beans..lol..my body
was craving fresh food..I'll have to pay the mortgage late because I
spent too much, but it's worth it.

Don't pay the mortgage late if you an at all help it. Get the payment in and
recorded by day 15. A late payment will hurt your credit score and take a
good 12-24 months to recover. You may not intend to buy a darn thing that
would need a credit check within two years, but you never know. Even
insurance companies check credit these days. It stinks, but it is what it
is.

4 buggies full of food today...I wiped the store shelves clean of tuna and
rice..lol..
Tomorrow, I'm going to have a Reuben sandwich for lunch instead of
peanut butter...

4 buggies! Wow! No wonder you don't buy often. I buy our staples (rice,
beans, pb, powdered milk and whatnot) in bulk so buy them infrequently, but
most of the rest of the stuff is purchased every week. No junk here
either--except for the Super Bowl. We ate some junk last Sunday, but even
so, it was probably healthier than most of America (no pop). Yes, we are
Super Bowl watching heathens, can't break hubby's habit, but then mine is
watching the Tour de France.

We had reuben's last night for second time this month, something about a
winter storm that calls for chili, reubens or beef stew in my mind. Mine was
not on homemade rye bread. Whoops. I'm making homemade soup for dinner
tonight, as I always do, passing up the numerous soup cans on the shelves.
Most of my ingredients are store bought, but that's my life now. Oh! We also
had homemade tomato soup with the reuben using near the last of our supply
of home canned tomato sauce from a couple years back. That counts.
