That's a hard question to answer because it depends on so many things,
available browse, the protein of other feeds, whether they are lactating
or are bred, the size of the bale, the type feeder you have (keyhole
feeders have less waste than rack style) or simply whether they like the
taste of it. Your does are young, first fresheners, right? But the
Boers are older? Hmmm. I think I would allow 5 bales a month per goat
if they aren't getting much in the way of pasture or browse but you were
feeding grain. How much can you put up out of the weather?
