Hidden undercurrents of risk lurk under the surface in an overpopulated
world. You do the best you can to improve the odds and that's all you
can do---plus maintain no illusions---hope your losses occur while you
are young and mentally resilient enough to regain your footing.

The mental resiliency applies to any age -
but comes from learning the 'no illusions'
that for many people has to do with bad
experiences *first*. And, yes, I count
*myself* among one of the 'many'.

1. Bush bought Iraq. Americans, Brits and a few others are paying the price,
in lives and taxes.

I do not think it's going to "stay" "bought",
regardless of amount/numbers of those
three 'costs'.
