They have their own fork of it, which Steve Olson gave to me to integrate back into the project. They don't have a version of their client libraries that works without installing the whole server, and there are a number of issues with how they build the client libraries. I've been working with them to fix that, but until then, FreeTDS is the best solution.

I haven't had time to integrate their changes back in, but I can send the tarball to anyone interested in taking a crack at it.

One neat thing they've done with their native client is add Rendezvous support. Applications can get a dynamic list of all servers on the local subnet and offer them to the user.
