The problem for me is that the reason a lot of these apps are locked to SQL
Server is because they are (badly) designed to use stored procedures as a
middle tier to the data.
As such to be really useful you will need to implement sp's on your server -
and that's a -lot- of work.
I wouldn't bother, tbh.
