I read the passage of scripture quite differently than you..
Lets take a look see..
(1 Cor 15:5 KJV) And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the
twelve:
(1 Cor 15:6 KJV) After that, he was seen of above five hundred
brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this
present, but some are fallen asleep.
(1 Cor 15:7 KJV) After that, he was seen of James; then of all the
apostles.
Paul is describing here who seen Jesus after the resurrection.
Then Paul makes a very interesting statement..
(1 Cor 15:8 KJV) And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one
born out of due time.
Last of all? Last of all what? Nothing less than Apostles! But
then he continues..
(1 Cor 15:9 KJV) For I am the least of the apostles, that am not
meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of
God.
First of all he calls himself an Apostle.. although the least.. then he
describes why.. because of his persecution.. but then in the next
verse..
(1 Cor 15:10 KJV) But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his
grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured
more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God
which was with me.
BY the Grace of God.. Paul is still is what he is.. i.e. an Apostle.
I would agree that he wasn't in the 12 originals.. Paul says that..
but to say that Paul is declaring himself absolutely as an UN-
APOSTLE just is not correct.
