Geez, shows what I get for trusting a blog post.

Ok, so if a “one stop” is just another name for a middleman who
purchases stock direct from various labels for resale, doesn't that
imply a markup? I would imagine it'd be cheaper for a store to buy
direct from the label whenever possible; but then I can also imagine a
one stop would enjoy considerable volume discounts.

Anybody here with indy record store experience care to chime in? Do
indy record stores -- the few that are left -- more often buy direct,
or through “one stops”?
