cars are stupid.
Honestly, Franklin St. only gets shut-down like 3 times a year. FestiFall,
Halloween & Apple Chill. Is it really that much of an incovenience? They do
need to manage the incoming traffic. Like putting flashing signs on 15/501
telling drivers Apple Chill today, Franklin St. Shut-down, expect HUGE
FUCKING
delays, Use Park & ride.
I'm not completely unbiased on the issue since my fiance' is compelled to
make
gobs of great pottery and Apple Chill is a convenient place to unload them
and
help defray the cost of her addiction.
I didn't have much trouble getting around the traffic from Carrboro by using
estes, umstead and airport rd to pick her up (took me 7 min). Also, one
could
park in carrboro walk to downtown BW3 in ~15-20min. That assumes that one
knew that apple chill is going on and avoided downtown ch like a plague.
