This could be, but I tend to think it is more that there is another
possibility. I like the copyleft aspects of BY-SA myself. I think the real
issue is that it is early days still. The pool of available works to build on
is still small. Also, the works are not all in a "usable friendly form" - I
am working with some friends on some projects now, some of which at least,
will be released BY-SA and the primary release formats will be ardour
( freesound.iua.upf.edu/index.php ) project files, and mixed and individual
tracks in wav, flac, and ogg-vorbis.

I am also actively experimenting with ways to fund the creation of such music.

The closer we can get to a standard practice of releasing works in "source
form" the better the BY-SA license will work in my opinion.

Also, for the BY-SA to work best, I think that the NC option needs to be left
off. I think forever, but certainly until the NC applicability issue is
cleared up.
