Opera 8 (or earlier) will probably work on that machine
at satisfactory speed. Links2 will be faster.

Normally, you do not use BL3 add-ons on BL2. The base
libraries in BL2 and BL3 are different.

I think Opera 8 might run on the BL2 libraries (without
upgrade). If not, you can upgrade BL2 to the glibc2.3.1
libraries using the first two packages listed above for
BL3 (glibc-solibs and misc-libs).

There is another option: you could use an earlier Opera
that works on the BL2 libraries without upgrade. It will
probably run faster on your hardware. Sindi will be able
to tell you exactly which Opera works best on the BL2
default libraries.
