Next time please post the actual file so I can comment directly.

You have the wrong manfid. It is the same one that I use for my Aironet 340. Did you copy it from my config?

I looked up the 350 in the large Slackware 7 config (you can also look up pcmcia config files online). This file did not include my older 340.

manfid 0x015f, 0x000a

You can use cardctl from Slackware to find your own manfid:
cardctl ident

It will also give you some other info which you can use as version info instead of the manfid, in case you have two cards with the same id like I do that use different modules.

If you don't know the manfid but you do know what the correct module is, and have only one wireless card you will use in a computer, you can use:

function network

instead of manfid, like Steven did for modem (serial_port) and fixed_disk.

Steven says cardmgr can also give manfid, but I think the start script has to run correctly before you can get the manfid (meaning you need to already have it identified and config edited properly).

Hi Steven,

Did you take a look at my /etc/pcmcia/config
file in my post which started this thread?
Is is correct?
